Meet the JCF Team

Justin C. Floyd, President

As the leader of JCF Capital Advisors, Justin provides executive management, finance, and business development services to a variety of clients including regional and national real estate developers, high-tech companies, and private equity, institutional, hedge fund, and angel capital firms.

With over 15 years of experience, Justin is a motivated leader with exceptional negotiation, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.  Justin's proven strengths in financial modeling, financial analysis, capital sourcing, and business planning has served many clients in a variety of industries.

Justin was the acting hands-on Chief Financial Officer and turnaround advisor of a hybrid hedge fund debt buyer and national collection agency focused on the acquisition, management, and resale of charged-off consumer debt portfolios. Initial scope of the engagement included the reorganization and restructuring of the company to reduce overhead and improve operational efficiency, the review and implementation of accounting controls, and the setup and management of policies and procedures including cash management, vendor payables, payroll, bank and other significant financial reconciliations, accounting, financials, and projections along with other special process improvement projects and daily management tasks. Justin was highly active and took a lead role in all significant capital raise transactions, due diligence meetings, and support. Justin also was the principal liaison with fund and corporate investors - high net worth individuals, family offices, and fund-of-fund investors. Justin also managed relations and ongoing transactional support with fund administrator, fund Directors, auditors, corporate bankers, in-house and external counsel, a national network of external agencies, primary and secondary buyers and sellers. Managed oversight of more than $150M of invested capital, onshore and offshore funds, 50+ employees, 100+ vendors, and more than 200 external agencies.

Justin has also provided hands-on mergers and acquisition advisory services to Cisco Systems, Inc. where he has assisted the business development, finance, and tax teams in negotiating asset and stock deals, identifying and addressing diligence and valuation issues, tax structuring and planning, and the integration of target acquisitions through complex reorganizations and business planning.  Advisory services have directly supported more than 20 Cisco acquisitions valued at over $500 million.  In addition, Justin has provided post-acquisition integration advisory services to Cisco Systems, Inc. supporting over 25 prior mergers and acquisitions. Justin's professional tenure demonstrates proven strengths in finance as well as operational experience as a seasoned entrepreneur - where he cofounded and was president of eDigital Entertainment - an emerging online gaming company.  For clients, Justin brings an in-depth awareness of the capital raising and funding process throughout the various stages of a company's lifecycle.

Prior to consulting, Justin's corporate background includes senior management roles at Stonefield Josephson, Inc., mergers and acquisitions management position at KPMG LLP, and various other management roles at Deloitte & Touche LLP and Ernst & Young LLP.  Justin matriculated at University of Delaware where he received his degree in Accounting in 1994, continuing on to complete his Certified Public Accounting (CPA) certification through the State of Maryland in 1995.

Anton Suprun, Analyst

Anton is an integral part of each JCF engagement where he provides analytical and operational support to the senior executives. Prior to joining JCF, Anton was an intern at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, and has served in the elite armed forces, the United States Marine Corps, as an infantryman and marksmanship instructor. Through his military experience, he mastered some of the most important characteristics and traits that are required for success, such as a winning attitude, mission accomplishment, problem solving in critical situations, and responsibility.

Anton holds Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business with a focus in Finance from San Diego State University - a program that is ranked 7th in the nation by US News and World report. Anton also studied at Russia’s leading university - Moscow State University. Anton speaks fluent Russian and Ukrainian, and has particular interest in the economy of Russia and Eastern Europe as well as other emerging markets.

John E. Hartman, Advisor

Mr. Hartman has over 25 years of real estate development and capital markets experience. As Chief Financial Officer for Suenos Corporation and Global Facilities Development he holds the top financial position and directs financial strategy, planning and forecasts. He supervises investment and the raising of funds for development projects via equity, debt and the monetization of tax credits. Previously he was Managing Partner of Trinity Investment Partners responsible for the day-to-day operations, institutional marketing, and project financing. Prior to Trinity, Mr. Hartman was President of Dunmore Capital creating the first institutional fund focused solely on land entitlement. He secured a $75mm commitment for the fund's lead investor, negotiated all fund terms, established the business model, and all compliance and investor reporting procedures. Mr. Hartman was President and Chief Executive Officer for Silverado Financial (SLVO), a publicly traded real estate finance company. He served as Managing Director of Hartman-Kauffman, a high-net worth investment advisory firm that was acquired by Next Advisors, a family office advisory company, where Mr. Hartman continued to serve as President. He worked for Morgan Stanley for six years and prior to Morgan Stanley was Managing Partner for Realty Capital Partners, a California land developer. He began his career as an Investment Broker for Grubb & Ellis in the Land Division and was the youngest member of the land council. Mr. Hartman earned an MBA from California Coast University in Santa Ana, and his Bachelors degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University. He is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), an Advisory Board Member for the Brownfield Foundation, and an Advisory Board Member for JCF.
